Video Work

Below is a collection of different videos I have made over the years. Videos are made in Prepiere Pro and After Effects. I have had expeience working with many different video media forms includding rotoscoping, stop motion, animation, and live action.

Preci”paw”tation

This project showcases a paper cutout–style animation featuring a cat and a dog caught in a rainstorm. The goal was to practice lip-syncing a character to a provided audio clip, in this case, the cat expressing its fear of thunderstorms. Created in After Effects, the animation uses common motion and rigging tools to bring the characters to life with charm and personality.

Love You to the Moon
and to Saturn

Cutout stop-motion animation of an astronaut flying through space to see the one they love. Over their journey they measure the distance it takes to get there, that distance being a measurement of just how much they love each other.

“The Power of Love”

Inspired by “The Power of Love” by Huey Lewis and the News, this typographic music video uses kinetic typography and animated illustrations to transform the lyrics into motion. Grunge textures and vibrant colors reference the bold, energetic 1980s rock style the song helped define.

The Universe at Our Fingertips

This video brings to life a concept from my early animation brainstorms: What if the universe were controlled by gigantic hands in space, spinning solar systems on their fingertips like basketballs? Created in After Effects, the piece uses green screen effects and collage integration to blend live-action and mixed media, resulting in a seamless and captivating sci-fi experience.

Percussion & Paint

This rotoscope animation features a drawing of a drummer playing a riff on his drumset. As he plays his drums, the drums he plays
are colored with paint. Behind the drummer paint bursts dance around him, immersing the drummer in his art. The video plays in
a perfect loop.

Community Title Sequence

This title sequence was made to reimage the title sequence made for the show Community. This animated collage was made in After Effects, utilizing features such as trim paths, master objects, keyframes, and much more. All images featured were used for educational purposes only.

Reginald Goes on a Walk

This quirky little guy was my first attempt at animating a character completing a walk cycle. Originally drawn in Procreate, each frame was then assembled in Premiere Pro to bring the illustration to life—resulting in this charming froggy character taking a pleasant stroll.

My Ancestors

This animation is inspired by the journey my ancestors made when they immigrated from Germany to Russia and them from Russia to the United States. Animated in After Effects, this design was originally made as a poster to create an Augmented Reality Illustration. When the image is scanned on the Artivive app, it comes to life showing the animation pictured here.
